Many sites offer a free home for your web pages. Here are a few of the better and more unique ones. Most offer one or more tools to make it easy to create your pages. Storage varies from a few megs to unlimited space.

Free 20 meg website and Web based email with a golfing theme.

50Megs.com
They offer 50 megs of storage on and easy to use file manager. You get a guestbook and Webboard to help make your site interactive. An ad banner is displayed on each page.

ALeague Sports
Free Web Site builder for amateur and youth sports teams, leagues, and other sports organizations, as well as customizable home pages for sports fans. Also free email and community tools.

Angelfire
30 Megs of space for personal page or you can advertise your business but not take paid adds. You can request more space if you need it. Annoying pop-up ad, but you can turn it off. They offer FrontPage and Office 2000 publishing. They are now owned by Lycos.

ArisHost
This is a little different from the other free hosting sites I list. They require you to purchase or transfer a domain name for $30 per year and give you a very nice starter hosting package without ad banners for free. While not totally free, it looks like a good deal compared to buying a domain and paying for hosting.

Brinkster Database Hosting
Brinkster's General Mebership offers free database hosting and lots of helpful articles and code to get you started. You get 30 megs of space and they don't put ads on your pages.

Crosswinds
Crosswinds offers unlimited free Web space for personal pages. They also have a business section for commercial sites with a 25 meg limit.

Dreamwater
50 megs and more if needed. You get a guestbook, chat and other features. They place an ad at the top of pages and don't use popups. Seems like a fast service.

FreeYellow
You get 12 megs of space and you can use it for personal or business pages. The sites seem to load quickly and the only ads they require are text based at the bottom of the page.

FortuneCity
You get 20 megs of space and they put an ad banner on each page. You can have a business site if you put it in their business district. The allow Link Exchange and a few sponsorship sites like CDNow.

Geocities
15 Megs of space and a choice of annoying pop-up ads or large banner on page -- Very strict personal page only policy, but they allow you to use banners from Geocities' affiliates such as CDNOW.

Hypermart
Free Web page hosting for businesses only. 50 megs of space and 500 megs of transfer. You must display their ads on the pages. You are automatically charged for space and traffic over the limits.

Max Pages
Maxpages encourages business pages but you can also use them for personal pages. All free pages are stored and serverd from a database so you must use thier builder. It is however a very fast site.

MyFamily.com
Set up a site to share information and communicate with your family. Services include chat, calendar, news board, album, gift registry and instant messaging.

NetTaxi
25 megs of space and a free email account for personal use. There is a 4 page limit on free accounts. They also offer free Internet access.

TopCities.com
You get 150 megs of space, a guestbook, message board, form mail, and an easy to use page builder.

Tripod
50 Megs of space and now you can choose banner ads instead of annoying pop-up ads on your pages. You can add your own CGI scripts or use their library. They also offer Front Page 2000 support.

V3Space
100 Megabytes of Webpage storage designed for experienced users who don't need automated page building tools and like.
