Ice Cream Day
May 2nd is Ice Cream Day and it is often celebrated with free or very cheap ice cream promotions at some of the well known ice cream shops. Most of the shops run their promotions in April or on May 2nd. To make sure you don't miss their promotions you should start checking their sites in early April.Baskin-Robbins will be having 31 Cent Scoop Night nationwide on May 2nd from 5 to 10 pm. It's not exactly free, but it sure is a good deal. Baskin-Robbins also has a birthday club that gives you a free 2.5 ounce scoop of ice cream on your birthday. You need to register on the site.
Ben & Jerry's holds their free ice cream day in April. If you visit their site in early April they should have more information available.
Donation Programs
Ben & Jerry's has a donations program for non-profit (501c3) organizations. Those organizations outside of Vermont can request free pint coupons for fund raising or to thank volunteers. Some locations in Vermont can get actual donations of ice cream for their fund raising events.Baskin-Robbins runs commuity partnership programs including a rewards program to recognize kid's academic achievement, a reading rewards program, and ice cream social fund raisers.
