If you have ever listened to a popular song and couldn't quite figure out some of the lyrics, you will appreciate LyricsDownload.com. They have an enormous database of over 600,000 unique song lyrics.
You can search for song lyrics by artist, title, or album. They also take advantage of Google's index of their site to allow you to search for words or phrases in the song lyrics. If you prefer to browse the site they offer an a to z index of the song lyrics archive.
There are many song lyrics database sites on the Net, but LyricsDownload.com is my favorite because of their huge song lyrics listing, the ease of use, and the relative freedom from misleading advertisements. Be aware that the links they offer to cellphone ringtones are links to ringtones for sale, not free ringtones as some might assume. Another bonus is that there is no registration needed to use the site.
Please note that at this writing, the site is not in perfect working order. The album search does not seem to be working and some of their menu links don't work. Hopefully they will get those glitches fixed soon, but even with those faults, this song lyrics database is great free resource.
