The Perfect Vision Magazine for Free

Home and personal electronics articles and reviews for free

By Lee Seats, About.com

I previously introduced you to some fantastic free game magazines in digital format. Now you can also keep up on the latest in hi-def TV, home audio, personal electronics, personal computers, and more for free with the digital edition of The Perfect Vision magazine.

The Perfect Vision magazine has been on the newsstands since 1998 and still eagerly purchased by many technology and home entertainment enthusiasts. Those of us who would rather save our money to actually buy some of the cool electronics featured in the magazine instead of spending the money at the newsstand can read the magazine cover to cover in a beautiful and digital format.

Good Looking:
The digital edition of The Perfect Vision magazine has all the flash and gloss of the print version. The magazine is produced as an Adobe PDF file and can be read without any additional software as long as you have the free Adobe Reader installed.

Smart:
The articles are well written, informative and timely. I found a number articles that covered topics that meshed with my current technology interests. I found most of the articles to be sufficiently comprehensive to give good information without being so detailed as to become tedious and boring. I also found most of the reviews to give me what I wanted to know about the products in question.

Flexible:
The digital format lends itself to flexibility. You can easily page through the magazine from cover to cover with one click of the mouse at the top right corner of each page. You can use a drop-down table of contents to zero in on just the articles that interest you. you can use the search function to find articles or products of interest. You can even print part of the magazine or the whole thing if you prefer to read a paper version or need something more portable to read,

Well Built:
I found the magazine to have a good mix of articles, reviews, and advertising. The issue I just read was 91 pages and was more substantial than many magazines the people pay good money to read.

Getting the Magazine:
You need to visit The AVGuide.com Perfect Vision page and register. Registration is free and they promise not to share your information. You can then either download the PDF file or choose to read it in your browser. I suggest downloading the file to avoid potential problems with trying to read the magazine while it downloads. If you download the file you can also keep it to refer to later.
